Justindeed is the art and design practice of Justin Holmes, based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Original digital art that I print locally as large format art pieces, small prints, greeting cards, coasters, and other small goods. I try to make things that I would want to own at a high level of quality. If you want something specific please get in touch.

The artwork is created using digital art tools and issued as a physical object. I use my hands to move my mouse and push the keys until art comes out of the computer. I don't use a stylus and tablet because I never learned how.

Each listing will state whether that object is unique, part of a numbered limited edition, or an open-edition print, along with its materials, dimensions, signature, and reproduction policy.

No. I create art as equal parts self expression and flagellation. The process, time, and personal decisions that go into making each piece are just as important as the final product's visual appearance. Handing off creative decision making would deprive myself of that anxious journey, so what would be the point?

I do not use generative AI to create or alter artwork. I use a computer as a creative medium, but the concepts, composition, and final decisions are entirely my fault.

The work remains on the site as part of the archive and is clearly marked Sold. Keeping sold work visible documents the body of work and gives a more complete view of the practice and evolution.

Yes, I consider selected art and design commissions. Email a description of the project, intended use, approximate dimensions, timing, and budget range so I can determine whether it is a fit.

Yes. I consider focused graphic-design projects and licensing enquiries for selected existing artwork.

Available shipping options for prints, cards, and coasters are shown in the shop during checkout. Shipping, delivery, or pickup is available. For larger original work, appropriate arrangments will be confirmed before purchase is finalized.

A purchase transfers ownership of the physical object only. Justin Holmes retains copyright and reproduction rights unless a separate written licensing agreement says otherwise.

Every piece starts with a mood, a reference, or a persistent idea. I work digitally with a mouse and keyboard — no stylus, no generative AI — and make decisions about colour, composition, and detail over several sessions. I keep going until the work feels resolved rather than merely finished, then prepare it for print or publishing at the highest quality I can manage.

I start with a short discovery phase: what the project needs to say, who it needs to reach, and where it will live. Then I explore directions quickly, present a focused set of concepts, and refine the chosen direction through feedback rounds. The goal is a clear, usable result that the client actually wants to use, not just a pretty deliverable.
